Sometimes you just know…..

I look for signs.  Not street signs, mind you, but little things that happen during the day or week that I need to be aware of and figure out what I’m going to do with that information.  Another way to look at it is to “be present” – be present in the moment and make the most of every situation.  This increased awareness started while Mark and I were living in Thailand.  We were inundated with sights, smells, and experiences that at times were overwhelming.  What we experienced and learned through that living situation set us on this path to become small business owners and buy a bed and breakfast.  I even got a tattoo to remind me of this newfound knowledge, but that is a story for another day.

We had a plan, doors were opened and doors were closed.  We kept moving forward and changing course as obstacles were placed in our path.  And then we met Daisy.  Daisy is a small business owner that we met in our apartment parking lot during the French Market.  Her business name was Little Buddha and she smelled like Thailand.  We immediately liked her.  She shared her story with us and we wanted to be just like her.  We told her our plan and that set things in motion. She sent us sample after sample after sample until we decided on the right scent  that would represent us in our very own bed and breakfast.  Today we are on our way to be “green”  with the help of the Little Buddha by Daisy https://www.littlebuddhabydaisy.com/

We have installed bulk dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and our own curated body wash.  We have organic bar soaps for our guests that contain the essential oils of lemongrass and ginger.  We have reusable water bottles and a filtered water dispenser easily accessible to all our guests.

Daisy and I will both admit that the path to this day was not easy.  We have both learned things; we have questioned our decisions; and we have moved on.  But – meeting Daisy was a sign and we just knew that our relationship would be a good one.

So…check her out and then check us out.  This is her tag line:

Welcome to Little Buddha–a company dedicated to offering remarkable products that feed your mind, body and soul.

You can’t go wrong there!

So, in closing:  be present, be aware, and look for those signs.  You never know what might happen.

Leslie
