4 anniversary celebrations
2 wedding nights
What a week we had here at the Mansion! We are so lucky to be able to be a part of such happy and romantic times! From the moment the reservations are made, our minds begin to race on how to make those memorable occasions extra special.
June is definitely wedding month! We’ve had a whole lot more than just those 4 anniversaries and each one is special in its own way. Young couples celebrating 1 or 2 years married, while others are celebrating 8 or 18 years. In this past week, we helped a couple celebrate 43 years together! A tremendous amount of love fills the Mansion everyday and we hope that our love for innkeeping shines through into your celebrations!
We can’t count how many weddings nights have been celebrated at the Mansion! Some wedding guests start out with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready here, while others show up late after their wedding reception. We have a late check in procedure for those guests! One of the most fun things is to see them sign our guest book and we know it’s the first time they’ve signed as “Mr. & Mrs.”.
We absolutely love proposals! With this couple in particular, every touch and gesture reflected how in love they are with each other. Chilled champagne and our Fleur-de-dys flutes were waiting in their room. Reservations were made at Charlie Gitto’s for a romantic dinner. He had planned everything in advance. The next morning, he came down for coffee with the biggest smile on his face and shared with us that she had accepted his proposal! We just knew that everything had been perfect! Here’s an excerpt from the journal in his room:
“We were so happy to have been able to have our memorable engagement moment here at the Fleur-de-Lys! Everyone dreams of this day being perfect and your beautiful place helped to make it perfect in every detail. We’ll never forget our engagement night at the Fleur-de-Lys! We’re sure that it was the first of many happy memories! We’ll be back!”
We’re so pleased that our guests allow us to help them make wonderful memories and then we become a part of their story of life.
If you have experienced romance at the Fleur-de-Lys Mansion, we hope you’ll share some of your memories on our blog!
And while we’re talking about special people, let me just wish every Father the most wonderful of Father’s Days!
We wish you peace, health, and happiness (AND ROMANCE!)
